What types of decks do you build?

What materials do you use for deck building?

We use high-quality materials for our deck building projects, including pressure-treated wood, composite, and PVC decking. Our team will work with you to determine the best materials for your specific project and needs.

How long does it take to build a deck?

Project timelines for deck construction are contingent upon the scope and intricacy of the undertaking. A detailed schedule will be furnished during the preliminary consultation, and progress updates will be provided throughout the construction phase. It is important to note that inspections and weather conditions can significantly impact the project timeline, and potential delays may vary depending on the specific circumstances.

Warranty

Our standard warranty covers labor for one year, contingent upon the customer's approval of the initial build's satisfactory completion. Defective parts are subject to the manufacturer's warranty. Please note that changes in layout or color preferences subsequent to project completion are not covered under warranty. Final payment signifies full satisfaction with the completed project. All sales are final.

Permitting

All projects require proper permitting; we reserve the right to decline any project lacking the necessary permits. Should a project commence without the required permits, Da Deck Boss LLC will not assume liability for any failures or issues arising from the permitting process or any related actions by the local municipality concerning the deck. This policy is designed to protect both the client and the contractor.

Do you build pergolas or other types of structures

As a deck-building specialist, our company is dedicated exclusively to the construction of decks. While we are capable of constructing other types of structures, we must respectfully decline such projects. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to the possibility of collaborating on your deck-building needs.

How much does a deck cost?

The cost of a deck is contingent upon several factors, including the dimensions, substructure materials, and decking materials utilized. PVC or composite decking materials typically command a higher price point compared to pressure-treated wood. Currently, the average cost for a 16x16 deck is approximately $10,000.00, factoring in current material costs and tariffs. This estimate encompasses the excavation of footings, deck framing, and the installation of all necessary materials to meet inspection requirements, but excludes railings and stairs. It is important to note that significantly lower pricing may indicate potential compromises in construction quality or the use of substandard materials.

Can we make size changes to our deck?

Confirmation is required that the initial site plan submitted to the town includes the proposed construction. The municipality reserves the right to halt construction if proper notification is not provided. Furthermore, please be advised that permit fees and labor costs will be subject to adjustment.

Do you build outside if Connecticut?

Our company is licensed solely in Connecticut, and we have elected to focus our operations within the state.
We have a substantial portfolio of properties in Connecticut, which will sustain our company's activities for the foreseeable future.

Contracts

Should a contract not be formalized on Da Deck Boss LLC letterhead and duly executed by our CEO, it is considered null and void. Recent instances of fraudulent activity necessitate this clarification. We strongly advise all parties to exercise due diligence to safeguard their interests.

Payments

Payment terms are explicitly detailed within the contract, including specific due dates. We accept payment via check only; cash transactions are not permitted. Our business operates in full compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
